Joe Biden admits thinking about suicide & getting drunk after his first wife and 13-month-old daughter died in car crash

PRESIDENT Joe Biden emotionally reflected on how he considered drowning himself in alcohol or jumping off a bridge after the death of his first wife and their 13-month-old daughter.

Biden sat down for an hour-long interview with radio personality Howard Stern, where they discussed various topics, including his personal life and the upcoming presidential election.

The president opened up about the death of his first wife, Neilia Biden, and their 13-month-old daughter, Naomi, who died in a car crash in Delaware on December 18, 1972.

“When you lose the love of your life, and you lose your 13-month-old daughter, which I again, it gives me the chills even to say it to you, and I hate bringing it up,” Stern told Joe Biden during Friday’s interview.

The SiriusXM host then asks the president, “You described you were suicidal. At that point, you thought about it.”

Biden emotionally recalled how, during those dark moments, he thought about drowning his sorrows with a bottle of scotch.

“What I said was, you don’t have to be nuts to commit suicide,” the president said.

“I don’t drink, that’s not a virtue. I just never drank. And, I used to sit there and think to myself, I’m just gonna take out a bottle of scotch.

“We always had liquor in the house, and I was gonna just drink it and get drunk, and I can never bring myself to do it.”

HEARTBREAKING CONFESSION

Neilia and her three children, Naomi, Hunter, and Beau, were driving in rural Hockessin, Delaware, just west of Wilmington, when a tractor-trailer struck their vehicle.

The family was rushed to Wilmington General Hospital, where Neilia and Naomi were pronounced dead.

Hunter and Beau survived after suffering serious injuries.

The heartbreaking incident occurred days after Joe Biden became US Senator-elect in Delaware.

Two weeks after the death of his wife and daughter, Biden was sworn into the US Senate at the hospital where his two boys were recovering.

The president described to Howard Stern after losing two of his loved ones, he briefly thought about jumping off the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

“If you’ve been to the top of the mountain, and you think it’s never gonna be there again, and, just a brief moment, I thought maybe I just go to the Delaware Memorial Bridge and jump,” Biden shockingly revealed

He shared how the thought of leaving his two boys, Hunter and Beau, alone saved him.

Biden, 81, said it was Hunter and Beau who gave him their blessings to date and eventually marry the future first lady, Jill.

The president encouraged those who are struggling to seek therapy.

During the hour-long interview, Biden said he would participate in a general debate with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

“I am somewhere, I don’t know when, but I am happy to debate him,” Biden said after Stern asked if he’d be willing to debate the former president.

Meanwhile, Trump, who is in the middle of a criminal trial in Manhattan, responded to Biden’s comments, writing in a Truth Social post, “Crooked Joe Biden just announced that he’s willing to debate!

“Everyone knows he doesn’t really mean it, but in case he does, I say, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, an old expression used by Fighters.”
