BBC confirms return of huge reality show for second series just days after winner is announced
THE BBC have confirmed return of a popular reality show for a second series just days after the winner has been announced.
Viewers will not have to wait too long for more thrilling episodes.
Fans of Survivor UK will be delighted to hear that it’s returning to screens for another series.
The BBC announced today that they are casting for a ‘potential second series’.
Casting for series 2 is now open to anyone who wants to apply.
The show sees a group of people stranded on a remote island where they have to fight for survival in a bid to win a huge cash prize.
Matthew Haywood was recently crowned the winner of series one- he beat out 17 other contestants, winning a jaw-dropping £100,000 prize.
He told BBC Radio Cumbria: “I don’t think it will ever sink in. I was in tears [when it was announced] and thinking about my friends and family at home.
“It’s four or five months since it was filmed and only me and my mam and dad knew [I’d won].
“We had a little party at my house on Saturday and all my friends were shocked. I’ll always remember the look on their faces when I was announced as the winner.”
The show has become a sensation, with millions of viewers tuning in each week to see who will come out on top.
Stay tuned for the release date of series two – we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have the information.
