B&M shopper stumbles on bargain glitter kids shoes scanning for just 10p as parents rush to store

A SAVVY shopper has stumbled on glitter kids’ shoes scanning for just 10p, sparking a rush to snare them from shelves.

B&M is nearly giving away girls’ high-top glitter shoes in a win for parents whose daughters are due for a fresh pair.

It’s unclear how much they previously cost because they can’t be found online, but for 10p it is clearly a massive discount.

The shopper who found the deal alerted fellow bargain hunters with a social media post.

One user responded saying they were old stock, so there’s no guarantee of finding them in-store.

A comment said: “These are old stock so won’t be in all stores, but they do have glitter trainers reduced to £2 if that helps anyone.”

Many others tagged their friends, with another suggesting daughters “would like them”.

But not everyone was happy.

One parent commented: “They don’t offer much support around the ankles.”

With the shoe not appearing on the website it could be worth checking out your local B&M branch.

It’s unlikely a rival will beat a 10p deal unless you can get them for free, but for most products, it never hurts to shop around.

You can use websites like Price Spy and Trolley to compare prices on thousands of products across different retailers.

The Google Product tab is helpful for running a quick scan across the internet too.

Sparkling kids shoes elsewhere generally range from at least £7 up to £20 and beyond.

How to save money at B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

Remember you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.

Keep an eye out for red sticker products as well.

These are put on special buy products that have also been reduced in price.
