Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke trolled over ‘polo neck trousers’ as she poses with F1 stars

FORMULA 1 FANS urged Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke to fire up Ferrari with some “dragons” as she met their racing duo at Silverstone.

Carlos Sainz was fifth and Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc 14th as Brit Lewis Hamilton romped to a record ninth triumph at his home Grand Prix.

And motorsport lovers joked that the Italian team needed help from the English actress – famed for her role in the drama ‘n dragons fantasy show.

One fan did troll Clarke for a floaty outfit with a curious belt buckle across her chest – likening it to “polo neck pants”.

But it was Ferrari’s performance that wore thin with many F1 fans.

One viewer posted: “Can she lend us some dragons to pull the Ferraris? The stallions are a bit slow…”

Clarke, whose film roles include Solo: A Star Wars Story, is best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen , one of the most popular characters in Game of Thrones.

And when F1 posted a clip of her meeting their team, some fans reckoned Spaniard Sainz – who Ferrari are replacing with Lewis Hamilton next season – looked close to awestruck.

One said: “Carlos looks hilarious” – while another claimed he was trying too hard to look “smooth”.

Other fans, however, were impressed by what they felt was a cool, calm exchange.

One even admitted he would be nervous meeting Clarke, saying: “Good for them. I couldn’t utter a single word.”

Meanwhile, Sainz’s successor-to-be Hamilton was toasting his first win since December 2021.

“This means so much to me,” the 39-year-old told his Mercedes outfit on the radio.

And not totally dissimilar to Game of Thrones, team boss Toto Wolff described the triumph as a “fairytale” – albeit one for all the family!
